Affording KVA
Making a KVA Education Affordable
At Kerr-Vance Academy, we believe that every child deserves access to a high-quality, values-based education—regardless of financial background. Through the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program, many families are discovering that a KVA education is more affordable than they ever imagined.
What is the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship?
The Opportunity Scholarship Program is an income-based initiative offered through NCSEAA (North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority). It provides funding for eligible students in Kindergarten through 12th grade who choose to attend a participating nonpublic school like Kerr-Vance Academy.
For the 2025-2026 school year, the maximum scholarship amount is $7,686 per student.
Awards are based on household income and family size.

Invest in Your Child’s Future
KVA offers a safe, supportive, and academically rigorous environment where students are known, challenged, and celebrated. And with tuition assistance through the Opportunity Scholarship, this life-changing experience is more accessible than ever.
How Affordable Can It Really Be?
If your family qualifies for Tier 1 of the Opportunity Scholarship, your remaining cost for a full year at KVA could be as little as:
$35 per month
That’s $414 for the year for a high-quality education that nurtures the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.
